Page of book containing 185 leaves with a collection of lithographs, aquatints, engravings, and other media, with ornamental designs published by Fleury Chavant in Paris, part of the publication "Guide du Dessinateur de l'industrie: une macédoine de dessins variés , tels que fleurs, ornemens, etc. ... Ouvrage destiné aux fabricants et dessinateurs de soieries... et Papiers Peints..." This plate contains a round frame with a rosette made up of cone motifs with semi-abstract roses around a circle with a cross, and surrounded by thin scale shapes, flanked by four semi-abstract palmettes inside cone-shaped frames, separated by semi-abstract fleurs de lis. Around this frame are four round motifs made up of interlacing branches, and decorated with different kinds of palmettes, stylized flowers, some of them seemingly exotic, fleurs de lis, and scrolling acanthus leaves. These roundels are separated by designs for page border corners, made up of bundles with different kinds of scrolling motifs, palmettes, acanthus leaves, and small, stylized flowers. On the upper and lower parts of the sheet are four designs for borders: the first made up of undulating ribbons with semi-abstract crown motifs; the second is made up of a strip of small, smei-abstract flowers flanked by two S-curves; the third, on the bottom of the sheet, is made up of thin, undulating lines, small, semi-abstract leaves, and strips of three small pearls; the last is made up of alternating scales with Y-shapes and dots, separated by thin, vertical thorns.
