Interior, victorious athlete being crowned. Exterior, unexplained mythological subject.
The scene here takes place in the gymnasium, as indicated by the sponge, strigil (scraper), and aryballos (oil flask) on the wall. Athletes converse among themselves while older trainers are rewarding their young charges.
