Anna Jozefacka, Ph.D., is an independent scholar whose research spans a wide range of topics within modern art and architecture. She is the curator of the exhibition Picasso: A Cubist Commission in Brooklyn at The Met (2023–24) and the author of the lead essay in the accompanying exhibition catalogue. The above essay draws on her continuing research on the Brooklyn art scene during the early decades of the twentieth century.
